I was also in the processional, and wanted to thank you and the rest of the community so much for lining the streets to honor him. I worked with Shane in the short time he was with the Sheriff's Office, but met him while he was employed with Parks & Wildlife. He was probably the nicest person I will ever meet, and I will forever miss him. This tragedy has ripped everyone from their core, and it's going to take a long time to get over it - if ever.
