About me

Author: admin

I’m a married mom of three, who recently decided to end the ”stay-at-home” mommy years…as much as my three charges will allow. I enjoy working, but since I’m still needed at various points during the day, a nine-to-five “job” isn’t in the cards for now.

Prior to becoming a full-time mom twelve years ago, I worked as a paralegal in a Houston law firm. Loved my work, but found the demands of motherhood, along with a “surprise” third child, didn’t allow me to offer my best to both. It wasn’t a difficult decision, and I feel incredibly blessed to have had a choice.

I have written most of my life and spent my working years doing technical writing and proofing legal documents. I started a weekly column in The Baytown Sun in January 2008 to explore the more creative side of me. My articles are currently published on Sundays. “Mid-life has come to roost in my nest“ was the springboard for my column and has mostly been the premise for what I write about. However, I’m also known for getting a bee in my bonnet over things totally unrelated…

Most recently, I’m making a foray into writing fiction and have started writing a book. It’s a LONG process, and although exhausting, I hope to be published in that realm someday.

In the meantime, I’ll keep on keeping on and strive to enjoy every minute.
